Nintendo Enhances Backwards Compatibility: Many Games Optimized for Switch 2

A recent leak has revealed an official list of titles that have already received dedicated updates to enhance their performance and stability on the new platform.

The company has rolled out a series of patches specifically designed to address technical issues across many popular projects.

Among the ‘updated’ titles are acclaimed hits such as Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, and the iconic DOOM. Popular indie titles like A Hat in Time and Limbo have also received attention.

The release of these patches coincides with a significant console software update to version 22.0.0. This update, among other features, introduces the innovative Handheld Mode Boost, which notably improves the smoothness and resolution of older games.

Nintendo demonstrates a commitment to continuously enhancing the user experience. The company is actively reviewing community feedback, with developers currently focusing on issues like graphical glitches in the popular game Pizza Tower and progress-saving problems in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed.
