Recently, ElAnalistaDeBits conducted a detailed comparative analysis of Death Stranding 2, pitting the PC version against the PS5 Pro. The findings indicate that while both platforms deliver an outstanding level of quality, the PC edition gains an edge by offering superior image fidelity.
A key advantage for PC players is the exclusive availability of ray tracing. This technology significantly enhances the realism of reflections and the quality of ambient occlusion. However, it’s worth noting that due to the specific nature of the game world, Death Stranding 2 doesn’t always fully leverage ray tracing capabilities.

Regarding resolution, the PS5 Pro utilizes PICO – the Decima engine’s proprietary upscaler, whereas the PC version benefits significantly from DLSS technology. This difference is most apparent in the rendering of fine details, such as hair, where DLSS shows superior performance. Interestingly, in some specific scenes, the console might exhibit slightly better object detailing.
The most impressive achievement of the PC version is its performance. With the aid of DLSS, players on powerful PCs, especially those equipped with RTX 50 series graphics cards, can enjoy the game in 4K resolution at maximum settings with frame rates exceeding 120 FPS.
