As of March 10th, Ghost of Yotei owners can dive into the new free cooperative Legends mode. The developers have confirmed all the key details of this anticipated expansion.

The Legends mode transports players into a mystical, supernatural rendition of the Yotei world. Its narrative is inspired by the legends of six formidable warriors from the campaign, whose tales have evolved into dark fantasy sagas over time. Here, players will not only confront human adversaries but also colossal demonic bosses and their elite retinues, each possessing unique abilities.

Within the multiplayer mode, players can choose from four distinct classes: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin. Each class features its own development tree, unique abilities, and preferred weaponry. The progression system allows for custom skill and equipment builds, enabling players to adapt their characters to any team strategy.

The mode offers four difficulty tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. As difficulty increases, so do the experience gains and reward quality, while still allowing players to progress at their own pace. Various mission types are available: ‘story missions’ designed for two players, ‘invasions’ for four players, and ‘survival’ mode, where teams must defend points and activate blessings or curses.

Next month will see the release of a new Raid, introducing two formidable bosses: a Dragon and Lord Saito. The developers have also added new cosmetic items, and the multiplayer lobby now functions as an interactive space for training, testing builds, and engaging in mini-games.
