Enthusiasts are breathing new life into the iconic action RPG, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Following the recent unofficial RTX remaster, modders have now unveiled exciting plans for their “Community Edition” of the game.

The project developers proudly announced: “With the approval of Ubisoft and the support of Valve, utilizing the latest Source 1 SDK, our team is actively developing the Community Edition – a fan-driven version of Dark Messiah! While full details remain under wraps for now, this new iteration will offer significantly enhanced stability and, crucially, direct access to the game’s code for future expansions and bug fixes. Most importantly, this project will be entirely in the hands of the community, empowering all of us to collaboratively improve this wonderful game.”

This initiative signifies a move to an updated engine, providing a robust foundation for future enhancements. It’s worth noting that an initial version of the Dark Messiah of Might RTX remaster is already available on GitHub as “DarkMessiah-RTX-Mod-Files” by KingDavidW.
