A recent update for The Sims 4 on PC, which introduced the anticipated official modifications store, has led to significant technical issues for many players. Following the patch’s installation, the fan community began reporting numerous malfunctions.
The primary problem is that previously installed fan-made mods and custom content (CC) have ceased to function. Furthermore, some users are experiencing an inability to launch the game at all, or they encounter a black screen upon attempting to enter.
Developers at Maxis and Electronic Arts have confirmed they are aware of the situation. They are actively gathering feedback and investigating the cause of these disruptions. In their official statement, they noted: “We are investigating reports that some mods and CC (custom content) are not loading in The Sims 4. The team is actively working on this and will share updates soon so you can get back to using your favorite content.” Players are awaiting a swift resolution to the problem so they can once again enjoy the game with their accustomed modifications.
