The development studio behind Project Motor Racing has acknowledged the extremely cold reception of the game. The project continues to receive very low user ratings, with its average score holding at just 33% on Steam.

A representative from Straight4 Studios stated:

“Let’s not beat around the bush: we missed the mark. On the most important issues. We disappointed you and we disappointed ourselves. (…) But we are working to change course. After seven patches, we are on the right track to give you the experience you expect. (…) A major update will be released at the end of March, which will rebuild the foundations of Project Motor Racing — bringing our game closer to what a serious motorsport game should be.”

The developers added that they will soon share more details about the significant update, which is slated for release in the final days of March. According to them, the patch should restore players’ faith in Project Motor Racing, as the studio currently prepares the specifics.
