Team Ninja has released Patch 1.04 for Nioh 3, marking the game’s most significant update to date. Available since March 10 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, this update coincides with a major achievement for the acclaimed title.
Nioh 3 has officially surpassed 1 million copies sold. This milestone contributes to the entire Nioh series’ impressive cumulative sales, which now exceed 10 million units worldwide.
In celebration of this success, developers are gifting all players a complimentary set of cosmetic gear: the Thunderous Warrior Armor and Thunderous Ninja Attire. These items are automatically added to every active player’s in-game storage, requiring no additional conditions to claim.
The new patch also introduces several enhancements to gameplay. Players will now earn increased “Glory” from multiplayer missions. The likelihood of acquiring equipment with superior characteristics after completing Shogun’s Journey has been boosted. Additionally, the material cost for Soul Matching has been reduced, a particularly beneficial change for players aiming to optimize their gear in the late stages of the game.
Technical improvements are also part of the update. Cutscenes, which were previously rendered at 30 frames per second (FPS), now support a smoother 60 FPS. The developers have also addressed numerous bugs impacting Martial Arts, the parrying system, boss encounters, and progression within both main and side missions.
The release of Patch 1.04 demonstrates Team Ninja’s continued commitment to actively supporting and enhancing the Nioh 3 experience for its player base.
