Players have long expressed a strong desire for a Steam version of Minecraft. This persistent wish recently led to an unusual series of events.

Following a significant leak of Minecraft’s source code—which included versions for PC, PlayStation consoles, and other platforms—certain individuals attempted to capitalize on the situation. A project titled “Kogama” briefly appeared on Steam, which players quickly identified as the leaked Minecraft Console Edition.

The information regarding the “Kogama” page rapidly circulated within gaming communities, drawing considerable attention. Consequently, Valve promptly removed the unauthorized listing from its digital storefront. The developers credited for this attempt were listed as “Michal Kogama” and the “Legacy Edition Team.”
