Hooded Horse, the publisher known for the highly anticipated game Manor Lords, has officially unveiled a new strategic role-playing game titled Kinstrife. Developed by talented modders from the Mount & Blade community, this project promises a unique and immersive experience, largely due to its “revolutionary” physics-based combat model.

Kinstrife is positioned as a single-player RPG with a non-linear storyline, where every minute detail of the combat system holds significance. The game’s advanced physics model meticulously tracks each sword swing and impact: powerful blows can effectively stun opponents, warriors losing their balance might be knocked to the ground, and swift cavalry charges are capable of dismounting enemies from their saddles. Players will have the opportunity to wield a diverse array of historically inspired weapons and experiment with various fighting styles, as all attacks, feints, and parries are designed to lead to realistic and unpredictable consequences.

The game’s narrative unfolds in the turbulent landscape of 13th-century Germany, where players assume the role of a wandering knight. They will be immersed in the authentic atmosphere of medieval warfare, partaking in intense duels, realistic skirmishes, and large-scale sieges, all while navigating a complex historical setting.
