After a wait of over two decades, the beloved horror modification Zombie Panic! for Half-Life has officially made its debut on Steam. This enhanced version brings a host of improvements to the cult classic.
Originally launched as a Half-Life mod in 2004, Zombie Panic! is a cooperative survival horror experience that pits human survivors against hordes of the undead. Players assume the role of survivors tasked with completing various objectives or eliminating all infected creatures. A unique twist in its gameplay is that if a human player falls in battle, they respawn as a zombie, turning their focus to hunting down their former allies.
The new Steam release comes packed with several modern enhancements. It now fully supports Half-Life’s 25th-anniversary update, includes Steam achievements for players to unlock, and integrates Steam Workshop functionality, allowing for community-created content. Furthermore, the game features a range of technical and graphical improvements, bringing a refreshed look and feel to the classic mod.
