Yu-Gi-Oh 14-Game Collection For Switch Is Only $20 For Prime Day

The Yu-Gi-Oh Early Days Collection for Nintendo Switch is currently available for just $20 on Amazon during Prime Day, while supplies last. This low price is notable, especially since Target has already sold out of the same offer multiple times recently. If the Amazon deal is no longer available, Walmart also lists the collection for $22.18. Given the significant discount ($30 or $28 off), both retailers are likely to experience stock shortages.

Released on February 27 exclusively for Nintendo Switch and PC, the Early Days Collection compiles 14 games originally launched on Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance between 1998 and 2003. The physical Switch version of the collection includes a bonus Secret Rare Yu-Gi-Oh trading card, specifically one of two possible Quarter Century Secret Rare Harpie`s Feather Duster cards.

List of Games in the Collection

Below is the complete list of games included, all originally for Game Boy (GB), Game Boy Color (GBC), or Game Boy Advance (GBA). Five of these titles were previously released only in Japan.

  • Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters (1998, GB)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters 2: Dark Duel Stories (1999, GBC)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Monster Capsule GB (2000, GBC)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Duel Stories (2000, GBC)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists (2000, GBC)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Dungeon Dice Monsters (2001, GBA)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh The Eternal Duelist Soul (2001, GBA)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2 (2001, GBA)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh The Sacred Cards (2002, GBA)
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Reshef of Destruction (2003, GBA)
  • Yu-Gi Oh Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel (2003, GBA)

Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters marked the franchise`s initial success and was the sole entry released on the original Game Boy. The series significantly grew in popularity on Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance in the early 2000s. It`s remarkable that all 14 games in this collection were released within a concentrated five-year period from 1998 to 2003.

Furthermore, this collection doesn`t even cover all Yu-Gi-Oh games from that era. While the Early Days Collection focuses on the first 14 handheld titles, Konami also developed several console games for PlayStation, GameCube, and PlayStation 2 during the late `90s and early 2000s.
