Wild Hearts S Demo Is Now Out On Switch 2, And You Can Transfer Your Save To Full Game

With Monster Hunter Wilds not currently slated for Switch 2, gamers looking to hunt enormous monsters on the platform have an alternative thanks to Koei Tecmo. A demo version of Wild Hearts S is now accessible, and players will be able to carry over their saved progress to the complete game when it launches on July 25.

According to Koei Tecmo, the demo allows users to experience the action-RPG`s introductory section, up to the `Minato` area. This preliminary look at Wild Hearts S includes battles against creatures like Ragetail and Kingtusk. Online and local co-operative play is supported, even enabling play with individuals who will eventually purchase the full version. A significant enhancement in Wild Hearts S is the increase in co-op support to four players, differing from the original 2023 game which only supported three. However, cross-platform multiplayer functionality will not be available.

The initial release of Wild Hearts occurred in February 2023 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. EA published that version under their EA Originals label, but the Switch 2 edition is published by Koei Tecmo (removing the need for an EA account for multiplayer). The development of Wild Hearts S is handled by Omega Force, a studio well-known for its work on the Dynasty Warriors franchise.

While Wild Hearts S is clearly influenced by the Monster Hunter series, it introduces several distinguishing features. Notably, the game incorporates mechanical devices known as Karakuri, which permit players to construct structures for climbing or establish zip lines for rapid movement across environments.
