Watch Out For Battlefield 6 Playtest Scams

As the official multiplayer reveal for Battlefield 6 approaches, a surge in fraudulent activities has been observed. Malicious actors are creating fake advertisements on Instagram, enticing users to click links to supposedly join a game test on Steam.

While these deceptive offers may appear legitimate, they pose a significant threat to Steam accounts. It is crucial to remember that all official announcements regarding playtests will always be made directly through official Battlefield or EA channels.

These scam attempts have intensified just before the official Battlefield 6 multiplayer presentation on July 31st, following the earlier campaign trailer. Although an open beta for Battlefield 6 has been confirmed, details regarding its start date and content have not yet been disclosed.

More information is expected to be revealed during the July event. Battlefield 6 is currently under development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a rumored release in October.
