A recent update for Tony Hawk`s Pro Skater 3 + 4 now allows players to perform impressive tricks and grind through their custom-designed skateparks online with friends. Activision has confirmed that players can access private matches to explore their personalized “American wastelands” and “proving grounds” alongside their buddies.
Beyond the exciting new multiplayer feature, the comprehensive patch notes detail several other key improvements. These include significantly faster loading times and various bug fixes across all supported platforms, encompassing PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S. Activision also assures that tracking challenges and finding collectibles will be a smoother experience moving forward. Furthermore, the update brings “more consistent grinds and gap triggers,” enhancing the overall gameplay fluidity.
Activision recently shared that Tony Hawk`s Pro Skater 3 + 4 has accumulated over 10 million hours of playtime as of August 13. While this figure doesn`t provide specific sales data, the company playfully suggested that such a vast amount of playtime would be enough for someone to skate around the planet 3,500 times. The logistics of crossing oceans on a skateboard, however, remain humorously unexplained.
Tony Hawk`s Pro Skater 3 + 4 was released last month and received its first major discount earlier this week. Interestingly, the legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk himself almost abandoned the idea of creating a skateboarding video game in the 1990s, right before Activision stepped in to collaborate.
