Tony Hawk`s Pro Skater 3+4 features many hidden details and nods to popular culture, but one particular reference has caused controversy. This specific inclusion, which may not have been deliberately placed, has led the game`s developer to release an official statement.
Players noticed an in-game item resembling the Guitar Hero game placed inside a trash can. Neversoft, the studio that originally developed Tony Hawk`s Pro Skater, also created several Guitar Hero titles. Some fans interpreted the item`s placement in a trash can as disrespectful to Neversoft, which ceased operations in 2014, while others viewed it simply as a joke.
The current developer, Iron Galaxy, stated they were unsure how the item got there but confirmed it would be removed shortly.
Iron Galaxy issued a statement on Reddit saying, “We hold everyone who makes games in the highest regard, and we are looking into how that ended up in the game initially.”
The studio expressed gratitude to fans for highlighting the issue and announced that the controversial game case would be removed in an upcoming update.
This incident follows other post-launch issues for Pro Skater 3+4, including player discoveries that some Easter eggs are locked behind additional purchases.
