Netflix has officially unveiled a teaser for The Witcher Season 4, offering fans their first glimpse of Liam Hemsworth stepping into the iconic role of Geralt of Rivia, a character previously embodied by Henry Cavill. This reveal comes more than two years after Season 3`s release, which also marked Cavill`s final appearance in the series. The streaming giant has also confirmed the show`s return date for October 30.
While the teaser keeps Geralt`s companions mostly out of sight, it prominently features his intense confrontation with a Wraith. Despite the creature`s ethereal nature, Geralt demonstrates his formidable monster-slaying abilities.
Specific plot details for the upcoming season remain under wraps. However, it is known that the central trio—Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan)—will begin the season separated, embarking on individual paths. Their eventual reunion at some point during the season is highly anticipated.
Earlier in 2024, Laurence Fishburne was confirmed to join Season 4 as Regis, described as a “world-wise barber-surgeon with a mysterious past,” with a first look at his character available in the trailer. Other notable additions to the Season 4 cast include Sharlto Copley, James Purefoy, Danny Woodburn, Linden Porco, Eve Ridley, and Clive Russell.

Game developer CD Projekt Red is actively working on The Witcher 4, a groundbreaking installment that will see Ciri take the spotlight as the main protagonist. Furthermore, CD Projekt Red is overseeing a remake of the original The Witcher game from 2007, with Fool`s Theory handling its development.
