The world of The Sims 4 is set to expand significantly with the upcoming “Adventure Awaits” expansion pack. While its primary focus is on tropical getaways and summer camp experiences, it also brings back a highly anticipated feature: imaginary friends from The Sims 3. The initial trailer for “Adventure Awaits” offers a glimpse of these imaginary companions and an extended look at the diverse vacation options available to your Sims.
New Adventures for All Ages
“Adventure Awaits” isn`t just for adult Sims. Child Sims will also have the chance to experience formative moments by engaging in activities such as archery, diving, papercraft, and various other camp pursuits. This ensures that every member of the Sim family can find something exciting to do, making family vacations more engaging than ever.
The Return of Imaginary Friends
As for the imaginary friends, they will manifest as four distinct dolls, each with a selection of personality types: Goofball, Creative, Competitive, and Evil. Choosing the Evil option appears unnecessarily risky, but it`s your Sim`s life, and you`re free to make all the questionable decisions you desire, adding a unique layer of interaction and unpredictability to your gameplay.
Explore New Vacation Destinations
This pack includes three new vacation neighborhoods within Gibbi Point, notably Camp Gibbi Gibbi in the Wanderwood Wilds. The abundance of camp activities for both child and adult Sims is so vast that the only missing element is perhaps Jason Voorhees to menace the attendees. The other included neighborhoods are Crystal Valley and Jellyfish Junction, each promising unique experiences.
- Camp Gibbi Gibbi (Wanderwood Wilds): A classic summer camp experience packed with traditional camp activities and opportunities for exploration.
- Crystal Valley: Offers serene landscapes and unique local charm for a more tranquil getaway.
- Jellyfish Junction: Ideal for aquatic-themed fun, including kayaking, fishing for jellyfish, and other water-based adventures.
Diverse Activities and Career Paths
Each neighborhood boasts its own exclusive activities. Adult Sims can partake in everything from kayaking to fishing for jellyfish, ensuring a wide range of leisurely and adventurous options. Players also have the option to have their Sims work as park employees, serving as either camp counselors or park rangers, adding new career opportunities and ways to interact with the vacation spots.
For those not entirely enticed by the pre-made vacation spots, the expansion offers extensive customization: players can construct their own custom resorts, offering unparalleled creative freedom. Furthermore, EA has collaborated with renowned Sims custom content creators—Jeyjeybink, daniellebuilds, Gryphi, KiwiSimsKate, and Axiisims—who have each crafted unique experiences for fans to enjoy, further enriching the gameplay.
