The Last of Us: Escape the Dark Board Game Gets Big Prime Day Discount

The cooperative strategy board game The Last of Us: Escape the Dark, officially licensed and based on Naughty Dog`s acclaimed PlayStation series, is now available at its first significant discount. During Prime Day, fans can save 25% on the game, reducing the price from $75 to $56. This offer is open to all buyers and is scheduled to end on July 12th at 12 AM PT, or sooner if stock runs out.

Inspired by the popular video game franchise, The Last of Us: Escape the Dark was initially revealed in 2022 and launched in November 2024. It has generally received positive feedback and joins Themeborne`s acclaimed lineup of Escape the Dark tabletop games.

Players select a well-known character from the Quarantine Zone (such as Joel, Ellie, Tommy, Bill, Tess, or Marlene) and undertake a dangerous journey towards Jackson. As they travel, they face diverse challenges presented on chapter cards, including encounters with FEDRA patrols, the Infected, and other threats. Survival hinges on strategic decisions and effectively managing and enhancing your equipment to be ready for the next confrontation.

While designed as a cooperative survival strategy game for up to five participants, Escape the Dark also offers a complete solo mode. The inclusion of solo play in modern tabletop games is becoming increasingly common and is a welcome feature for enthusiasts who might not always have a group available.

Visually, the game board and components are striking, featuring a distinctive black-and-white aesthetic that effectively replicates the somber mood of The Last of Us video games and television show.

The game is recommended for players aged 14 and older, with each session typically lasting between 60 and 90 minutes.
