The Elder Scrolls Online Temporarily Free During QuakeCon

As part of QuakeCon 2025, a free access promotion for The Elder Scrolls Online has been launched. This event runs until August 12, allowing players on PC/Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation to explore the world of Tamriel without any cost. It`s an excellent opportunity for both newcomers and returning adventurers to get acquainted with ESO`s vast universe and its engaging gameplay.

Throughout the promotion, users will gain full access to the base version of ESO. This includes the ability to play as one of four powerful classes—Sorcerer, Nightblade, Templar, and Dragonknight—and to explore 24 adventure-packed zones brimming with quests and dungeons. Additionally, competitive PvP content is available, such as Battlegrounds and the large-scale Alliance War. The game offers something exciting for solo explorers and team-focused players alike.

Any saved progress from previous free play periods will be available, allowing you to continue your adventure right where you left off. New players who register an ESO account during the event will receive 500 complimentary Crowns for in-game store purchases, providing a good head start.

Those wishing to continue playing after the promotion ends can purchase the full version of The Elder Scrolls Online. As an added incentive, both the ESO base game and the 2025 Premium Edition are currently on sale, making this period ideal for further adventures in Tamriel.

In other news, the developers behind the unofficial Skyblivion project have emphasized that their creation is a full-scale remake of the game Oblivion, rather than a mere remaster.

A video showcasing gameplay is available.
