Paramount initially scheduled “The Angry Birds Movie 3” for release on January 29, 2027. However, the studio has now moved the premiere date forward to December 23, 2026, aiming for a pre-Christmas release.
The voice cast has expanded to include renowned YouTube personality Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, and Webby Award winner Salish Matter. Their specific roles in the film remain undisclosed.
Jason Sudeikis (Red), Josh Gad (Chuck), Rachel Bloom (Silver), Anthony Padilla (Hal), Ian Hecox (Bubbles), and Danny McBride (Bomb) are reprising their roles. New additions to the cast include Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, and Sam Richardson.
John Rice, known for his work on “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe,” “Rick and Morty,” “Bob`s Burgers,” “The Simpsons Ride,” and “The Happy Elf,” will direct “The Angry Birds Movie 3.” Rovio and Sega will handle the film`s production.
The Angry Birds franchise originated in 2009 with its inaugural game. This year, the latest installment, “Angry Birds Bounce,” was released on Apple Arcade.
