Bandai Namco is set to continue its “Tales Remastered Project” this fall with the release of Tales of Xillia Remastered for contemporary gaming platforms. This follows the launch of Tales of Graces f Remastered two years prior. The official announcement was accompanied by a new trailer highlighting the game`s improved graphics and various quality-of-life enhancements.
First introduced in Japan in 2011 and globally in 2013, Tales of Xillia invites players to delve into Rieze Maxia, a realm where humans and spirits coexist harmoniously. The narrative revolves around two main protagonists, Milla Maxwell and Jude Mathis, each pursuing their distinct paths. Their journeys, however, intersect as they uncover a sinister plot concerning a weapon capable of siphoning spirits and destabilizing the world`s delicate equilibrium.
Key enhancements in the remaster include features like auto-save functionality, early access to the Grade Shop, and clear destination markers to guide players through objectives. Furthermore, all previously released downloadable content (DLC), such as character costumes and bonus items, will be bundled with this new release. While primarily designed as a single-player experience, the game`s real-time combat system supports cooperative play for up to four players during battles, enabling them to execute potent combo attacks alongside their allies.
Bandai Namco has confirmed an October 31st release date for Tales of Xillia Remastered, making it available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
