Surviving Mars Remastered: New Features, Console Mod Support, and More Revealed

Haemimont Games and Paradox Interactive have revealed a remastered version of their acclaimed sci-fi strategy city builder, Surviving Mars. Appropriately dubbed Surviving Mars: Relaunched, this updated edition promises significant improvements including enhanced graphics, a redesigned user interface, and all-new content not present in the original release.

A standout new gameplay feature is `Martian Assembly,` which introduces colony factions to the game. This means that colonists will now possess their own unique agendas and demands, empowering players to establish laws and policies, and even strive for complete independence from Earth. Another crucial aspect of this remastered version is its extensive cross-platform mod support, ensuring that a rich variety of community-created content will be available across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Beyond encompassing the original base game, Surviving Mars: Relaunched will also include every single piece of previously released DLC. This comprises all major and minor expansions, cosmetic items, and radio stations, offering the definitive experience from day one. The game is set to launch at a price of $40, but existing owners of the original Surviving Mars will be eligible to purchase it at a discounted price of $20, provided they do so on the same platform where they originally owned the game.

Surviving Mars originally launched in 2018, receiving generally positive reviews upon its release. GameSpot, for instance, awarded the game an 8/10, commending its strong design choices and captivating aesthetics, even if some of the game`s initial concepts weren`t always optimally explained to players.

While a precise release date for Surviving Mars: Relaunched has not yet been announced, it is described as “coming soon” and will be available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S upon its launch.
