Спустя почти два года после запуска, фирменная беспроводная технология PlayStation Link, используемая в гарнитурах Sony для PS5, наконец-то получит драйвер для ПК. Его распространение продлится до 2 октября и позволит пользователям настраивать и обновлять свои устройства на ПК, минуя подключение к PS5.
Новый драйвер PS Link предоставит быстрое меню, доступное из системного трея или трехкратным нажатием кнопки PS Link на устройстве. В этом меню можно будет регулировать настройки звука для Pulse Elite или Pulse Explore, проверять уровень заряда батареи и получать уведомления о доступности обновлений прошивки.
После установки драйвера пользователи смогут обновлять прошивку как для самих аудиоустройств, так и для USB-адаптера PS Link прямо с ПК. Для этого гарнитуры Pulse Elite и Pulse Explore необходимо будет подключить к компьютеру через USB-кабель.
PS Link — это запатентованная беспроводная аудиотехнология Sony, обеспечивающая высококачественный звук без потерь с минимальной задержкой. Она функционирует отдельно от Bluetooth, позволяя одновременно использовать другие Bluetooth-устройства. В настоящее время PS Link применяется исключительно в гарнитурах Pulse Elite и Pulse Explore, поэтому данный драйвер актуален только для них. Sony также напоминает, что для других беспроводных аксессуаров PS5, таких как контроллеры DualSense, следует использовать приложение PlayStation Accessories.

Almost two years after its debut, Sony`s proprietary PlayStation Link wireless technology, which powers its PS5 headsets, is finally receiving a PC driver. The rollout, set to conclude by October 2, will enable users to manage settings and update their devices directly from a PC, eliminating the need to connect to a PS5.
The new PS Link driver will introduce a quick menu, accessible either from the system tray or by pressing the PS Link button on the device three times. This menu will allow users to adjust audio settings for their Pulse Elite or Pulse Explore headsets, view battery levels, and receive notifications for available firmware updates.
Once the driver is installed, users will be able to update the firmware for both their audio devices and the PS Link dongle directly from their PC. For firmware updates, Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore headsets must be connected to the computer via a USB cable.
PS Link represents Sony`s proprietary wireless audio technology, designed to deliver high-quality, lossless audio with minimal latency. Operating independently from Bluetooth, it allows for simultaneous use of other Bluetooth devices. Currently, PS Link is exclusive to the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore headsets, making this driver relevant only to these specific devices. Sony also advises users that the PlayStation Accessories app remains the primary tool for managing other wireless PS5 accessories, including the DualSense controller series.
The PS Link driver is expected to install automatically upon connecting the USB device to your PC. However, due to its phased rollout, it might not be immediately available. If the driver doesn`t install right away, Sony suggests trying again later, as the rollout period extends until October 2.
