Студия Team Cherry наконец-то подтвердила, что долгожданная игра Hollow Knight: Silksong не только существует, но и будет выпущена 4 сентября. Это произойдет очень скоро. Team Cherry has finally confirmed that the long-awaited game Hollow Knight: Silksong not only exists but will be released on September 4. This is very soon. Microsoft and Team Cherry have confirmed that the highly anticipated game will be released on Xbox Game Pass. It will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, allowing them to play it on both consoles and PC. Additionally, users can access Silksong via PC Game Pass, but only for PC.
There`s a possibility that Silksong might eventually come to less expensive Game Pass tiers, such as Game Pass Standard and Game Pass Core, but this is not yet confirmed. If it does happen, it likely won`t be anytime soon.
The original Hollow Knight from 2017 is currently available on Xbox Game Pass or can be purchased for $15. Hollow Knight is also included in Sony`s PlayStation Plus Extra Game Catalogue.
There`s no indication that Silksong will launch on PlayStation Plus. If it ever appears there, it probably won`t be anytime soon. As for Nintendo, it generally does not include third-party games in its Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions on release day.
A Long Wait
Silksong was initially conceived as an expansion to Hollow Knight, but Team Cherry later expanded the project, transforming it into a full standalone game. After it became a full game in 2019, the developers went silent for an extended period, and the lack of news in subsequent years led some fans to worry if the game truly existed or if it was stuck in “development hell.”
As it turns out, the developers assert that work on the game was continuously progressing, and the immense commercial success of Hollow Knight afforded them the opportunity to take their time with Silksong`s development.
Silksong reappeared this week at Gamescom in Germany and proved to be extremely popular. Long lines snaked through the convention center for a chance to play the highly anticipated game.
“Hollow Knight: Silksong appears to be exactly what we all should have expected: a strong, well-designed, visually lovely game that carries forward the aesthetic and design philosophies of the original with thoughtful, if not earth-shattering, updates,” wrote Steve Watts after his hands-on experience with Silksong at Gamescom this week.
While Silksong may not be a big, mainstream AAA game, it has generated immense hype and pent-up demand. So much so that at least three other developers have delayed their upcoming projects, citing Silksong`s release.
