Seagate Has Terrific Deals On High-Capacity Desktop Hard Drives This Week

This week, Seagate is offering exceptional discounts on its high-capacity desktop expansion hard drives, perfect for backing up your PC or Mac.

Their popular 6TB external drive is now available for just $110, a significant drop from its original $160. For even greater value, consider the 14TB model, priced at $200, which is a remarkable $120 off its regular $320 price.

While the 6TB and 14TB drives are Seagate exclusives, making direct price comparisons difficult, other retailers offer similar capacities. For instance, Amazon sells an 8TB model for $161 (down from $170) and a 12TB model for about $260. This highlights the strong value of Seagate`s exclusive deals, as you`d typically pay more for less storage elsewhere.

Seagate also extends exclusive discounts to its larger drives, including the 18TB, 22TB, and 28TB versions. The 18TB model offers the most substantial saving, reduced by $130 to an appealing $220, significantly cheaper than its $300 price at retailers like Best Buy.

Although the 28TB variant is the largest, the 26TB model generally presents better value. Priced at $250 (a $100 saving), even without being an “exclusive” deal, it`s $50 less than Best Buy`s current offering for the same capacity. Upgrading from 26TB to 28TB for an additional $80 doesn`t seem worthwhile. Similarly, the 22TB model is only $10 cheaper than the 26TB version, making the latter a more attractive option.

Our Value Picks and Current Deals:

  • 6TB: $110
  • 14TB: $200
  • 18TB: $220
  • 22TB: $240
  • 26TB: $250
  • 28TB: $330

Each Seagate Expansion drive, regardless of capacity, comes with a three-year limited warranty and includes Rescue Data Recovery Services, offering peace of mind. They support USB 3.0 for rapid file transfers and are incredibly easy to set up: simply plug in the power adapter and connect the drive to a USB port on your PC or Mac.

While these HDDs are ideal for archiving photos, videos, and large files to free up space on your PC, they are not recommended for storing games, which benefit more from the speed of an SSD.

Sporting a minimalist black design with subtle accents, these drives are compact, averaging about 7 x 5 x 1 inches. Their understated appearance ensures they will seamlessly integrate into most desktop setups.
