Score the Lego Monkey Palace Board Game for Just $15 on Amazon

Earlier this week, we highlighted a great deal on the officially licensed Lego Monkey Palace board game. This fast-paced strategy game was available for $24 during Target Circle Week, a price Amazon initially matched. However, Amazon is now offering a significantly better deal as part of its Prime Day events. You can currently purchase a copy of Lego Monkey Palace for only $15, marking a new all-time low price for the game.

Monkey Palace is a unique tabletop game for 2-4 players that transforms the familiar act of connecting Lego bricks into an engaging and strategic experience. Developed by Bezzerwizzer in collaboration with Lego, the game was released last October and typically sells close to its full $40 retail price.

It`s worth noting that this substantial $25 price cut is not exclusively tied to official Amazon Prime Day board game promotions. This means all shoppers, not just Prime members, are eligible to take advantage of this excellent discount.

Gameplay Description

The game`s premise involves a mischievous monkey who, after discovering an ancient palace in the jungle, inadvertently causes it to collapse while trying to redecorate. Players must then work to rebuild the structure. To help the monkey restore his lavish home, players take turns adding Lego pieces to construct makeshift staircases. Each piece grants a certain number of `Monkey Credits,` which are then traded for `Monkey Cards.` The chosen Monkey Card dictates the types of bricks players can use to build and decorate the staircases. Building progress is tracked using `Banana Points,` and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins. A typical game lasts around 45 minutes.

Monkey Palace comes with 231 Lego bricks and includes multiple game boards, each presenting unique challenges and enhancing replayability. The game allows for diverse building approaches within its rule structure, offering a fairly open-ended strategic experience.

While the game is recommended for players aged 10 and up, younger children with experience building Lego can also find it enjoyable. For instance, a four-year-old who regularly builds Lego Super Mario sets was noted as enjoying Monkey Palace, requiring some strategic help but quickly making it one of their favorite board games.

Currently, Monkey Palace is the only officially licensed Lego board game still in print. Older Lego board games often command high prices on the resale market. Given this, and the significant discount available, it`s a timely opportunity to add Monkey Palace to your collection.

The discount on Monkey Palace is part of a wider trend of strategy board games currently available at reduced prices. Another notable deal is on the Catan 6th Edition, which recently launched in April and is now seeing its first discount. Keep an eye out for other articles detailing family-friendly board game deals.

Beyond this board game, Amazon has several deals on standard Lego building sets. It`s also worth checking the Lego promotions at Target and Walmart, as these retailers often have a broader selection of discounted sets during sales events.
