Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is currently on sale for the first time since its release on June 5. Amazon is offering a $10 discount on the physical editions for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. The physical Switch 2 edition, which includes the full game on the cartridge, is now available for $60 (originally $70), while the Switch version is priced at $50 (originally $60). Should Amazon run out of Switch 2 copies, Best Buy is offering the same deal.
Available Offers:
- Nintendo Switch 2: $60 (was
$70) – Also available at Best Buy. - Nintendo Switch: $50 (was
$60) – Exclusively at Amazon; other retailers like Walmart and Best Buy maintain the $60 price. - Earth Dancer Limited Edition: $100 – Currently in stock at Amazon and GameStop.
It`s worth noting that the Earth Dancer Limited Edition for Switch, which was hard to find for several months due to production and shipping issues (publisher Marvelous officially delayed its release until June 20), is now available at Amazon and GameStop. Other major retailers, such as Best Buy and Walmart, have not stocked it for months, and Best Buy now indicates it no longer carries the item. It is likely that once Amazon and GameStop`s current inventory is sold out, there will be no new shipments, as the edition appears to be out of print. The Earth Dancer Edition does not have a dedicated Switch 2 version, but Switch 2 owners can upgrade it for $10 via the eShop.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Guardians of Azuma boasts higher resolution and frame rates. It is also one of the games that supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, making the gameplay experience similar to the PC version. This is notably the most significant discount seen for a boxed Switch 2 game since its launch, as most games for the console have maintained their original prices.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has been well-received by both critics and fans, holding a Metascore of 81 on Metacritic and an average user review score of 8.3/10. The PC version has garnered “Very Positive” reviews from nearly 2,000 users.
This new installment elevates the RPG-meets-farming-sim formula to new heights. Set in Azuma—a fantasy world inspired by Japanese folklore—players assume the role of a magical martial artist known as an Earth Dancer. Your journey involves restoring the land by building farms, repairing villages, and undertaking RPG-style quests where you`ll confront bosses using magical swords imbued with elemental power.
