Rocket League’s Best Rocket Pass Ever Just Dropped — Especially For Fortnite Players

There has never been a Rocket Pass quite like this one. With the launch of the new Rocket League season on Wednesday, players can now dive into what is arguably Epic Games` most broadly appealing Rocket Pass produced in the five years since Rocket League transitioned to a free-to-play model. This is the inaugural Rocket Pass to feature two distinct licensed car bodies—a classic Pontiac Firebird and a robust Chevrolet Astro van. Adding to the excitement, it also includes fantastic Sonic the Hedgehog-themed items, such as an impressive goal explosion and hamster-wheel-style rims where a miniature Sonic sprints as you accelerate.

These exclusive items alone justify the pass`s cost, assuming players intend to invest time in unlocking them. Epic Games has made progression smoother this season by enhancing XP gains from matches and simplifying the unlocking process for certain rewards. For instance, in previous passes, a second vehicle body typically required reaching rank 40, but the Astro van is now available at rank 33. Similarly, while all Rocket League Credits usually unlocked by rank 100, this pass allows players to acquire them all by rank 69 (nice). Including three genuinely excellent goal explosions, the Sonic one among them, this pass is packed with an exceptional amount of cool content compared to its predecessors. This Rocket Pass is active until December 10 and can be acquired for 1,000 Credits or a month of Fortnite Crew.

All these advantages also position the new Rocket Pass as an extraordinary value proposition for Fortnite players, who can obtain it via a Fortnite Crew subscription. Crucially, unlike passes within Fortnite, access to the Rocket Pass remains even after a Crew subscription expires. Both featured cars, along with the Sonic wheels and most other boosts, trails, and wheels from the pass, will seamlessly transfer to Fortnite. The Astro van, notably, will be the first Fortnite SUV body available without requiring an Item Shop purchase. Additionally, a wide array of decals for both the Firebird and Astro are available for unlocking. While progressing through the pass still necessitates playing Rocket League, Epic`s recent adjustments to XP gains should make this grind considerably easier.
