The updated PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) scaling technology, which has already been implemented in games like Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem, is poised to enhance two more titles from Remedy Entertainment.
Remedy has officially confirmed that both Control Ultimate Edition and Alan Wake 2 will gain support for this improved PSSR on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
The enhanced version of PSSR, which was released earlier this month, is expected to deliver superior image quality in Remedy’s games. Developers anticipate it will also bring “noticeable improvements in picture stability and motion clarity.”
This PSSR upgrade will be an optional feature, giving users the choice to activate it or continue playing with the existing rendering on PlayStation 5 Pro without changes. Although a precise release date has not yet been announced, Remedy assures fans that the update will be rolled out “in the near future.”
