Microsoft has officially announced that PowerWash Simulator 2 will be available on Xbox Game Pass immediately upon its release. This confirmation came alongside the reveal of a new trailer, which highlighted collectible “mementos” that players can clean and then display within their in-game home.
The original PowerWash Simulator, which debuted in 2022, also launched on Xbox Game Pass and quickly achieved widespread success. Developer FuturLab stated that this commercial triumph is a significant reason why the sequel will maintain its current price point of $25, despite introducing a variety of new features. The studio also noted that this pricing strategy is partly a response to the current cost-of-living challenges, as many view PowerWash Simulator as more than just a game – often considering it a “wellbeing tool” for relaxation.
Indeed, there`s a widely acknowledged calming and almost meditative quality to meticulously cleaning virtual objects with a high-powered water hose.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is scheduled for release this fall; however, a precise launch date has not yet been disclosed. The game will be available across multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
In other news concerning Xbox Game Pass, the rogue-lite title The Rogue Prince of Persia was surprisingly released on the service today. Furthermore, recent Gamescom announcements confirmed that High on Life 2 will join Game Pass in February 2026, and Tropico 7 is also slated for future release on the platform.
