Pokemon TCG Pocket: New Expansion Features A Legendary Trio, Launches August 28
Pokemon TCG Pocket is set to release a significant new expansion called “Secluded Springs” on August 28. This update will prominently feature Pokemon from the Johto region, including a formidable and well-known legendary trio.
Within the “Secluded Springs” expansion, players will rediscover beloved Pokemon as they first appeared in the classic Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver video games. This includes the iconic legendary trio: Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. Beyond Johto, the expansion will also introduce Pokemon originating from the Hoenn region. A glimpse of some of these new cards is provided in the trailer below.
The official Pokemon website confirms that Suicune will grace new binder covers and display-board backdrops, both scheduled for release on Sunday, August 31st. Throughout September, players can anticipate a series of diverse in-game events.
The first of these events for “Secluded Springs” is the “Zoroark Drop Event,” allowing players to engage in unique solo battles to earn Promo Pack A Series Vol. 12. The Zoroark Drop Event will run from September 3rd to 13th. Additionally, a “Bonus Week” event will commence on September 8th, offering missions that reward pack hourglasses and other valuable items.
Later in the month, players can look forward to the “Water-type Pokemon Mass Outbreak” event, starting on September 26th. During this event, cards featuring Water-type Pokemon will have an increased chance of appearing in rare and bonus card selections.
Mega Evolutions are slated to arrive in the game later this fall. While specific release dates remain undisclosed, several new Mega Pokemon cards are expected to be introduced.
