To mark the upcoming release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A on Nintendo Switch consoles, The Pokémon Company has revealed a unique celebration: a live lucha libre wrestling event. This exciting spectacle is scheduled for September 25 at Arena Mexico in Mexico City.
This special showcase will include four exhibition matches. Among the confirmed participants is Mistico, a renowned wrestler who was known as Sin Cara during his time in WWE in the early 2010s. While tickets will soon be available for purchase, fans unable to attend in person can watch the matches streamed live on the official Pokémon and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre YouTube channels.
This announcement follows the recent unveiling of a new Mega Evolution for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Appropriately, the Pokémon receiving this powerful upgrade is Hawlucha, a fighting-type known for its luchador aesthetic and aerial combat skills. Hawlucha`s Mega Evolution intensifies its wrestling theme, featuring elaborate new plumage that prepares it for the grandest stages.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is set to release on October 16 for both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The game deviates from traditional turn-based combat by incorporating real-time battles and free-for-all modes, supporting up to four players, offering a fresh take on the franchise`s gameplay.
