Many games allow players to explore real-world settings, but the forthcoming title, `Pigeon: A Love Story,` promises to highlight the immense scale of a city. Unveiled at the Six One Indie showcase, this game delivers precisely on its premise: players assume the role of a pigeon seeking a mate within bustling urban environments such as Paris, London, or New York.
According to developer Alex Taylor, each `global pigeon hub` is meticulously rendered to scale and features an `accurate number of pigeons.`
The game, characterized as a leisurely experience for a fast-paced world, enables players to traverse every building, street, and encounter every pigeon in a live, city-wide simulation. With hundreds of thousands of independent pigeon NPCs soaring through the skies, the quest for a feathered companion might seem daunting. Players can, however, team up with a friend to collaborate, compete, or even search for each other.
This romantic escapade also offers a meditative element; players can opt for a screensaver-like mode to enjoy digital birdwatching, complemented by a relaxing lo-fi soundtrack.
Although not the pioneer in pigeon-centric games (like `Hatoful Boyfriend`), `Pigeon: A Love Story` stands out as an ambitious endeavor to simulate the romantic lives of these urban birds. While a release date is yet to be announced, the game is confirmed for PC via Steam.
