After nearly five years of thrilling ghost hunts, developer Kinetic Games is set to expand the world of Phasmophobia with a brand-new map, Nell`s Diner, offering players a fresh location to investigate paranormal activity.
As its name suggests, Nell`s Diner is a retro-styled restaurant that has seen better days, exuding an atmosphere of delightful decay. While the living might appreciate its vintage charm and available seating, the spectral residents likely have kitchen plans that would certainly fail any health inspection. The size of this new map will be comparable to the existing residential properties already familiar to players.

While Nell`s Diner is anticipated later this year, Kinetic Games has confirmed an earlier release date for another significant update: the highly anticipated rework of the Grafton Farmhouse map, arriving on August 12th.

The updated Grafton Farmhouse has undergone a “total overhaul,” introducing new themed areas such as a chilling attic and a mysterious seamstress room. It appears even more unsettling than Nell`s Diner, with the accompanying screenshot hinting at its eerie transformation.
“Nell`s Diner, alongside the Farmhouse reworks, are all so central to our efforts in amplifying the horror in Phasmophobia, and I can`t wait for our community to experience it for themselves,”
“Our incredible art team have worked tirelessly on the upcoming content, and the Diner map in particular is one of the most unique maps we`ve added yet. We don`t want to spoil anything, but just know there are plenty of surprises to look forward to.”
Lead director Daniel Knight has previously hinted at Phasmophobia`s long-awaited 1.0 release next year. While deliberately vague on specifics, he mentioned a complete revamp of the game`s horror elements, stating, “We`re basically going to be reworking the entire horror in the game. So everything is going to be changing.” The recent Chronicle update also brought improvements to how players document hauntings, and a Phasmophobia film is currently under development by Blumhouse.
