NVIDIA Unveils RTX Remaster of Quake III Arena – Early Access Version Available

Quake III is once again poised to challenge graphics cards with stunning new visuals.

NVIDIA recently brought community attention to a fan-made RTX remaster of Quake III Arena, developed using the company’s powerful tools.

A trailer showcased a modernized version of the iconic “Area 15 – Nvidia Bunker” map, featuring significant graphical enhancements:

The remaster incorporates advanced features such as full path tracing, DLSS 4, new high-fidelity materials, the RTX Remix Logic system, and greatly improved Advanced Particle VFX.

The current version, Quake III Arena RTX Remix Mod v0.6, has been officially released on ModDB. This marks a transition for the project from its initial “demo” status to “early access,” inviting players to experience the modernized classic.
