New LEGO Collectibles Unveiled: Stranger Things and Beyond

As the highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things approaches, LEGO is celebrating with the introduction of new BrickHeadz collectibles featuring some of the show`s beloved main characters. This exciting collection is set to launch on October 1st and will include four buildable figures: Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, and Will Byers. These figures are currently available for preorder for $40. Given their expected popularity, fans are encouraged to secure them quickly.

In line with other BrickHeadz sets, the LEGO Stranger Things BrickHeadz are designed to capture the distinctive look and 1980s fashion of the characters in an endearingly blocky style. Each figure comes with a sturdy display base, and they feature character-specific accessories such as a walkie-talkie for Mike, a headset for Dustin, and a slingshot with binoculars for Lucas. These particular BrickHeadz sets are exclusively available for preorder through LEGO, as it is uncommon for BrickHeadz collections to be sold by other retailers.

This release marks only the second Stranger Things set from LEGO. Previously, `The Upside Down` LEGO playset was available but has unfortunately been sold out for some time. For those looking to expand their Stranger Things LEGO collection, these new BrickHeadz offer a prime opportunity.

Stranger Things: The Complete Scripts

Beyond the building blocks, Stranger Things enthusiasts can also anticipate the upcoming book series, `Stranger Things: The Complete Scripts.` This collection compiles the Duffer Brothers` original screenplays for each of the show`s first four seasons into individual volumes. The first two volumes are scheduled for release on September 2nd, with volumes three and four arriving on December 9th. All four paperback editions are available for preorder at $30 each.

More Exciting New LEGO Set Releases

The new Stranger Things set is part of a broader wave of new LEGO product reveals coinciding with San Diego Comic-Con. Another highlight is a detailed replica of the classic Nintendo Game Boy. This 421-piece display model not only faithfully reproduces the appearance of the original handheld device but also incorporates interactive A/B buttons, a D-pad, and Start/Select buttons, along with interchangeable game cartridge pieces inspired by classic Game Boy titles like Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link`s Awakening. The LEGO Nintendo Game Boy will be released on October 1st and is available for preorder at $60.

Fans of Gotham City will be thrilled by the grand return of LEGO Batman. A massive 2,953-piece Arkham Asylum building set is on its way, recreating the notorious psychiatric hospital where many of Batman`s greatest foes are contained. This intricate set includes 16 minifigures and boasts a modular design, making it an engaging multi-day build experience. Priced as a premium set at $300, it will first be available to LEGO Insiders members on September 9th, with a global launch following on September 12th.

Additionally, seven new LEGO sets inspired by the upcoming film `Wicked: For Good` are scheduled for release on September 1st. This collection features impressive display pieces, such as the Emerald City Wall Art set, as well as engaging playsets like Glinda`s Wedding and Munchkinland. These new offerings provide a wide range of options for fans of the `Wicked` universe.

Finally, though not tied to the recent Comic-Con announcements, several new LEGO Star Wars sets are set to launch on August 1st and are currently available for preorder. This includes premium figures based on characters like K-2SO from `Rogue One` and `Andor,` Wicket the Ewok, and an AT-ST walker. Playsets featuring iconic vehicles and numerous minifigures are also part of this upcoming Star Wars wave.
