Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch its annual summer event, the Flamefete Festival, running from July 23 to August 6. This exciting update promises a plethora of hot weather-themed content, continuing the series` tradition of engaging seasonal celebrations.
This two-week in-game celebration will kick off with new summer quests, with the main festivities centered within the Grand Hub. To access this vibrant social area, players must have achieved at least Hunter Rank 16. The Grand Hub itself was a recent addition to Wilds, introduced during its initial title update earlier this spring.
The Grand Hub will undergo a vibrant summer makeover, featuring a special themed meal and interactive mini-games, such as beach ball tossing. A highly anticipated water gun emote will also be available, transforming gameplay briefly into a third-person Super Soaker experience and encouraging players to engage in playful water fights throughout the festival.
Attendees can look forward to dazzling fireworks displays and captivating performances within the redecorated Grand Hub. Participating in the Flamefete Festival activities and claiming daily login bonuses over the two-week period will reward players with various exclusive items, including Seikret decorations and unique fiery-themed craftable gear for both hunters and their loyal Palico companions.
Beyond the festival grounds, two fresh event quests await hunters. One of these quests grants a form-fitting diving suit crafted from the skin of the poisonous Rompopolo monster. The other introduces the comical Cornpopper—a joke weapon in the form of a gunlance designed to resemble a massive corncob. Furthermore, most previously available event quests will make a welcome return during this festival period.
To fully embrace the summer spirit, new swimwear outfits will be available for the hunter character, as well as several key supporting NPCs, including Alma, Erik, and Gemma. A purchasable DLC pack, also available from July 23, will allow players to permanently unlock these cosmetic items, even outside of the event. In other exciting news for NPCs, Fabius, who leads Wilds` core members of the Hunting Guild, will now be able to join the hunter in the field as an ally.
The Flamefete Festival, alongside the introduction of the challenging Arch-tempered Uth Duna, will launch simultaneously on July 23. Both additions are part of Monster Hunter Wilds` second major free title update, promising substantial new content for players.
