Mega Man Funko Fusion Figure Unveiled with Rare Chase Variant

While the Funko Fusion game, released last year, might not have achieved widespread acclaim, it continues to inspire exciting new Funko collectibles. Following figures from Battlestar Galactica, Shaun of the Dead, and The Thing, the iconic Mega Man is now joining the lineup. The Mega Man Funko Fusion figure is available for preorder at $15, with a release date of December 27. Collectors can look forward to a standard version featuring his classic blue armor, as well as a rare Chase variant depicting a zombified version of the character. Additionally, Funko revealed new figures for Colonel Sanders, Invincible, and Five Nights at Freddy`s.

This new Funko Fusion vinyl figure showcases Capcom`s beloved retro hero, Mega Man, in his signature blue armor and helmet, complete with an energy blast from his arm cannon. As with other Funko Pop figures, it`s a static collectible, perfect for display in a game room or office. A special Chase variant offers a `zombified` rendition of Mega Man, featuring white eyes, pale skin, and green goo details on his armor, with an approximate 1 in 6 chance of acquiring it.

The new Mega Man figure coincides with the release of Funko Fusion: Deluxe Edition for the video game, which introduces several exclusive new characters. Despite a modest 4/10 review score, the game may appeal to fans seeking a quirky cooperative experience filled with pop culture references. The primary draw of the new $40 Deluxe Edition is its expanded roster of playable characters from popular films and TV series. Here`s a look at the new characters included:

  • Wicked: The Wizard, Madame Morrible, Elphaba, Glinda, Prince Fiyero, along with Shiz variants of Elphaba and Glinda.
  • Universal Monsters: Dracula, Bride of Frankenstein, Invisible Man, Wolf Man.
  • The Office: Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam.

The standard edition of Funko Fusion is also available for $20 on PS5, PS4, Switch, and Xbox Series X. While it doesn`t include the extra content and characters from the Deluxe Edition, it notably features Mega Man as a playable character.
