The fighting game community was electrified when Arc System Works unveiled Marvel Tokon: Fighting Heroes during the PlayStation State Of Play livestream on June 2. Boasting a sleek anime art style and innovative 4v4 combat mechanics, this new title swiftly became one of the most eagerly awaited games in the genre. Enthusiasts will soon get their first hands-on experience, as a playable demo is set to debut at Evo 2025, the world`s largest fighting game tournament.
According to details shared on the PlayStation Blog, the upcoming Evo demo will be accessible to all attendees on the show floor. Players will have the opportunity to test out six distinct characters: the iconic Captain America, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, Storm, Star-Lord, and the formidable Doctor Doom. As a special token of participation, all who try the demo will receive a commemorative pin.

Developers from both Arc System Works and Marvel Games will also participate in a “Developer Combat Panel” on the Evo Showcase stage. This insightful session, focusing on the game`s core gameplay mechanics, is scheduled for Friday, August 1, at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET, and will be livestreamed on the Evo Events YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person.
Evo 2025 is set to take place from August 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Beyond the highly anticipated debut of Marvel Tokon, the event will feature professional tournaments for leading titles like Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8. The convention floor will also host demos for other upcoming fighting games, including 2XKO, and boast what the Evo website describes as the “second-largest arcade in the US,” equipped with over 250 cabinets, crane games, and more attractions.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls (as the game is also known) is officially slated for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC.
