Mafia: The Old Country is slated for release this Friday, August 8th. This marks the first new installment in the beloved series since Mafia 3 in 2016. Positioned as a prequel to the very first game, it has been described as a more focused experience compared to its predecessors. For instance, unlike Mafia 3, it will not feature an open world and will be priced at $50, offering a more budget-friendly option against the current trend of $70-or-higher game releases.

Last month, the developers at Hangar 13 provided insights into the game, discussing how its early 20th-century setting influenced its development and the unique ways combat differs from previous entries in the Mafia series.
