Chapter 1 – It`s Happening Again

The game commences on a Monday in a desert setting. Progress forward until a sandstorm materializes, then rapidly press the indicated button on your screen.

Upon regaining control in the subsequent sequence, turn around and exit the bathroom.

In the hallway, proceed left and move ahead. Collect the note resting on the banister to your left, then continue forward, descending the stairs on the right.

In the next room, advance until you reach an entryway table positioned against the left wall. Take a document from the trash receptacle beside the table. Afterward, pick up the keys from the table and unlock the front door of the house.

Now, it`s Tuesday. Exit the bathroom again, then run when instructed.

Wednesday follows. Leave the bathroom once more, head down the stairs again, and then interact with the sketchbook on the floor.

Now, use the other door in this room to access the basement. Down here, proceed to the desk against the back wall, then retrieve the card and document placed on it.

Return to the bathroom upstairs and get the keys from the sink. Afterward, go back downstairs and open the front door once again.

It`s now Thursday. Head back downstairs again and answer the phone on the entryway table.

Return to the basement, this time interacting with the trap door in front of the desk you encountered earlier, and choose to enter it.

Chapter 2 – Beyond the Noise

Descend the ladder, then pass through the next two doors.

In the living room, pick up a sheet of paper from the side table, then proceed down the hallway to its right.

On your way down the stairs here, pause and retrieve a card situated in a hole in the wall. Additionally, pick up the little note from the ladder at the bottom of the stairs.

Look up at the light above you in the room with the stairs. Notice a hammer there? That hammer must be retrieved.

Proceed forward and turn right to find another table with a phone on it. Pick up the sketchbook page here, then pick up the phone and press `SOS` three times.

This action will cause the hammer to drop. Return to the staircase area and retrieve the hammer from the floor; it will be required soon.

Backtrack and turn left into the next hallway this time.

Further down this hallway, on the right, you`ll encounter a door adorned with clocks. To unlock it, you must locate seven specific clocks.

Solving the Clock Door Puzzle in Luto

A clock is considered `found` simply by interacting with it.

Continue forward into a bathroom. Clock 1 is located in the bathtub.

Exit the bathroom and walk back down the hallway. Clock 2 is leaning against the wall next to a vase in front of the glass door.

Clock 3 is situated halfway up the stairs you originally descended.

Now, walk over to where you picked up the phone and look up between two wooden beams to find Clock 4.

Continue past the phone and descend the stairs. Down here, you`ll find Clock 5 in a chair.

Open the next door and proceed along the hallway, which will lead you back to the living room. Clock 6 is beneath the side table.

From where you entered this room, head forward into the next hallway and into a lit room on the left to find a card.

Leave this room and head the way you came from, stopping at the boarded-off door. Employ the hammer to dislodge the nails, then enter the room. Clock 7 is on the floor here.

Pick up the drawing beside the final clock and the card on a box in this room, then leave.

Head back to the clock door, now accessible, and proceed into the next room.

Pick up a ripped note on the left and take the stuffed monkey hanging from the ceiling.

Go back to the phone in the hallway and dial 555-1725.

Once the dialogue concludes, turn to observe a figure that has appeared down the hallway.

Quickly enter the room on the right and proceed down the hallway. You`ll eventually spot a small toy ambulance ahead; follow it until it collides with a door, then enter that door and descend the stairs.

Take the sketchbook page from the table on the left, then go through the door.

Follow the path until you reach the bathroom again. Pick up the note here, then turn around.

A coin will now be suspended in front of you. Move toward it to trigger a scene.

Select any dialogue options here until you awaken inside a cave.

Make your way through the cave until you come across a familiar desert. As you did at the beginning of the game, rapidly press the indicated button on your screen when the sandstorm begins. Eventually, the screen will fade to black.

Chapter 3 – One More Time

You`re once again in the bathroom. Exit and head down the hallway, pausing to pick up the document on the right before descending the stairs.

Grab the keys from the entryway table and exit through the front door.

You`ll now cycle through each day of the week. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, simply leave the bathroom and interact with the document again before heading downstairs, getting the keys, and exiting through the front door.

When Friday arrives, a door on the left in the hallway can be opened, revealing a bedroom.

Retrieve the sketchbook page from the desk, then interact with the corkboard. Place the monkey drawing in the slot on the lower right.

Next, position the stuffed monkey you found earlier on the bed next to the other one.

Look away, and suddenly the stuffed monkeys have disappeared. You`ll now need to find them scattered around the room.

Find them on the bookshelf above the computer, then turn around. Find them on the fan above you, then turn around. Find them in the laundry basket to the left of the TV, then turn around. Lastly, find them on the shelf to the right of the TV. Interact with them to get an eyeball.

Leave the room, go left down the hallway, and pick up the document on the right once more. Go downstairs, grab the keys, and exit through the front door.

You`re back in the bathroom. Head downstairs yet again. When you reach the bottom of the stairs, grab the flashlight in front of you and turn it on.

Retrieve the sketchbook page from the front door, then turn around. Pick up and read the stamp on the table near the stairs, then head back up to the hallway.

Upstairs, there are four descending photos on the left wall. Interact with the fourth (lowest) one to get a key. You can also grab a document from the back of the fallen picture.

Go back downstairs and open the little lockbox on the table using the key you just found. Take the tiny Entrance Door from the lockbox. Strange indeed.

Proceed through the opening where the front door once was and walk down a creepy corridor until you reach a dilapidated home interior.

Make your way through this linear interior, stopping to grab a card from a metal cart along the way, then descend some stairs to another cave.

Walk through the cave until a large storage box is blocking the path forward. Move the crate out of your way, then enter the door.

Back in the house, go downstairs to answer the ringing phone.

After the dialogue finishes, repeatedly press the button to resist the darkness and head back to the living room to find a door ajar (every other door you approach will slam in your face during this segment).

Open the door and follow the corridor. Open two more doors to find a figure floating on the other side. Continue to resist during this period while walking toward the figure.

Interact with the figure and watch the scene here, then walk toward the ladder ahead.

Suddenly, the narrator will bring up the pause screen and kick you out of the game. Don`t worry: This is meant to happen.

Load back in and press `Continue.`

Walk toward the glowing figure ahead while resisting. Once you reach the figure and it disappears, stop resisting.

Chapter 1 – It`s Happening Again (revisited)

Predictably, you find yourself back in the bathroom.

Head to the stairs as usual and go down them. However, the stairs will appear to loop endlessly. Continue ascending until you discover a hole you can descend into.

Chapter 4 – Thanks for Pushing Me

Proceed forward until you reach a door on the left leading to a room with a blue hue.

Enter the room, then pick up the sketchbook page on the left. Observe the board on the wall, which is missing drawings. You will return here later.

Leave the room for now.

Continue forward, pausing to pick up a note on your right before heading left past a boarded-off door.

Ahead lies the bathroom, now featuring a blood-filled tub. Bypass it, taking a left at the fork, and ascend the stairs.

Pick up the drawing on the bannister.

Return to the fork and take the right path this time. Descend the stairs.

Next, continue winding through this room until you reach a door with a gate. Interact with the gate and take the Golden Piece.

Ascend the stairs again and turn right into a hallway where a single door stands slightly ajar. Enter this room.

Pick up the card on the desk, then go through the next door.

Turn left and head in the direction of the boarded-off door ahead. Before reaching it, pause and turn right to see a corridor full of doors.

At the end of this corridor of doors is a gate that can be opened with the Golden Piece.

At the conclusion of this corridor, you`ll find a gated door. Utilize the Golden Piece to unlock it.

Descend the stairs and interact with the door to acquire the Moon and Sun Knocker, simultaneously revealing another set of stairs. You`ll revisit this location soon.

For now, return to the path`s previous fork. Take the right path once more and enter the corridor lined with numerous doors.

Turn left, listening for a door from which a ringing sound emanates. It will be the second door on your right.

Attach the Moon and Sun Knocker to this door, then use it to knock. The door will open, allowing you to proceed inside.

Answer the ringing phone and engage in the conversation.

Navigate this area until you spot a glowing blue door at the end of a hallway. Approach it, but pause to collect the drawing from a table on your right.

Pass through the glowing blue door, turn right, and proceed toward the large gate ahead.

Open the gate and traverse it, then descend the stairs to retrieve the Silver Piece from the shrine.

Ascend the stairs and retrace your steps. Eventually, a ghost will appear, passing in front of a door. Go through that door, turn right, and advance towards another open door.

The ghost will assail you, initiating a dialogue sequence. Make your selections, after which you will awaken once more in the familiar cave.

Proceed forward until you encounter another glowing figure. Maintain resistance until you reach the figure, then cease resisting.

And predictably, you`re back in the bathroom. What a surprise!

Exit the bathroom and return to the room with the blue hue where you observed the board with missing drawings.

Solving the Drawings Puzzle in Luto

You must position the drawings in their appropriate slots:

  • `Look for the signs amidst all the noise` – Drawing of Strange Symbols
  • `Find the childhood that hides from pain` – Drawing of Two Monkeys
  • `Escape for the false prison of memories` – Drawing of a Canarian House

Now, exit the room and turn left. Follow the path back to the fork. Take the left branch and ascend the stairs.

At the top, you`ll find a glowing red room with a videotape visible in a window. Interact with it to cause it to fall downstairs.

Turn around to discover a figure has materialized behind you. It poses no threat, so simply walk past it and descend the stairs.

The videotape can be found in a basket near the bathroom ahead. Retrieve it.

Follow the path back to the room containing numerous televisions.

A television in the center of the room displays `No Signal.` Interact with it to insert the videotape into its integrated VCR.

You will now control a character within the television`s display.

Descend the nearby stairs, then proceed down another set of stairs to the left.

You`ll eventually see televisions displaying symbols before the screen fades to black, resetting your location.

Navigate through a series of continuously resetting pathways. Eventually, you will exit the TV realm and regain your normal perspective.

A new door will now be accessible directly in front of you, though it is not necessary to enter it at this time.

Exit the TV room, then take an immediate right. Retrace your steps through the door you previously opened with the Golden Piece, continuing until you reach three televisions at the end.

Solving the TV Symbols Puzzle in Luto

Interact with the glowing red televisions and input the following symbols sequentially from top to bottom:

  • Top TV – Spiral
  • Middle TV – Single middle line with two half-circles on top and bottom
  • Bottom TV – Three triangles (tri-force)

A door will now open. Proceed through it.

Follow the path to the left until you encounter a figure wearing glasses before a red static screen. Acquire Sam`s Broken Glasses.

Turn around to return. You will soon fall through a hole.

Proceed forward, then look to your right and collect the sketchbook page from the banister. Now, head back to the left.

Return along the path to the room filled with televisions. Exit the room and proceed forward, veering left of the boarded-off door to reach the fork once more.

Take the right path and descend the stairs into the room containing all the sketches.

Retrieve the sketchbook page from the crate ahead, then observe the monkeys once more. The next puzzle begins.

Locating the Stuffed Monkeys in the Sketch Room

Look at the monkeys hanging from the crate, then turn around. Find the monkeys to the right of the crate on a shelf next to a basketball, then turn around. Find the monkeys hanging from the ceiling behind a sketch, then turn around. Find the monkeys on the ground behind a sketch near a gated door, then turn around. Find the monkeys on a crate near the last spot you found them.

Collect Isaac`s Deflated Ball.

Proceed to the gated door and use the Silver Piece to open it. Downstairs, navigate the linear path until you find a red valve on a metal cart. Pick it up.

Exit via the path you entered. The screen will begin to shake, sealing off your original entry door. In its place, a small hole will now be accessible.

Move forward, collect the coin, and disregard the red spider that appears. At the corridor`s end, clear the crate blocking your path.

Descend the stairs in this maintenance hallway to find a red pipe where you can attach the valve. This action will halt the blood flowing down the ladder ahead.

Descend the ladder and proceed forward. Collect Joel`s Dull Heart.

Ascend and enter the area illuminated by flickering blue light.

Immediately to your right, an open door leads into a room furnished with a rocking chair and a chest on a table.

First, retrieve the sketchbook page from the table to your right, then the note from the table near the rocking chair.

Insert the Entrance Door into the designated slot on the photograph affixed to the wall.

Next, you must determine how to open the chest.

The note you just acquired provides clues for the chest lock`s combination, based on counting items in the room. To bypass this process, simply enter the code: 3715.

A knock will sound from the small door within the frame. Open it and retrieve Eva`s Shattered Photograph from inside.

Return to the maintenance hall and descend the stairs again to the location of the large gate. You`ll confirm the correct spot if `House of Lost Dreams` is visible above it.

You now possess the four items required to solve the puzzle awaiting you at the bottom.

You must position four items onto the trays beneath the paintings in this room. Clues can be found in your sketchbook, but you can bypass the deduction by using the solutions provided:

  • El Amanecer – Eva’s Shattered Photograph
  • El Mediodia – Isaac’s Deflated Ball
  • La tarde – Sam’s Broken Glasses
  • La noche – Joel’s Dull Heart

Once the items are placed, attempt to exit. A levitating figure will manifest; resist by rapidly pressing the indicated button, as before. Continue this as you approach the figure, then interact with it to initiate a cinematic sequence.

When you attempt to leave once more, a painting will detach from the wall, revealing a passage.

Navigate the narrow, picture-lined hallway for a period until the screen fades to black, returning you to… the bathroom, yet again.

Exit the bathroom and proceed down the hallway. A figure will appear, then vanish into a picture on the floor. Follow it into the frame.

Naturally, you`re back in the bathroom. Exit again and advance slightly, but this time, do not enter the frame. Instead, turn around to discover a new staircase where the bathroom previously stood.

Descend the stairs and pass through a door into a flooded hallway.

At the divergence, turn left. Proceed left down a short hallway and enter the door there.

When asked to choose left or right, choose left. Afterward, enter the door down the short hallway on the left.

When faced with two small hallways, each leading to doors, select the one marked by a `House For Sale` sign.

Proceed down a hallway, turn right to discover two more small hallways with doors, and once again, opt for the left one accompanied by the `House For Sale` sign.

You`ll enter an unsettling scene featuring a figure before a moon. Advance towards the moon until the scene concludes.

Continue through the confined, picture-filled hallway until you emerge from the bathroom mirror, then retrieve the note from the door here.

Exit the bathroom. The figure will attack you again.

Select your dialogue choices, and you`ll find yourself back in the desert, requiring you to navigate back into the house.

Sprint towards the distant figure while maintaining resistance. It will vanish upon your approach, but you can then locate another. Continue running (and resisting) towards it until you reach it, at which point the screen will contract, leading you back to… well, you can likely predict your destination.

Indeed, you`re back in the bathroom.

Turn around and collect the coin. Then, step back slightly and enter the door leading into a dark hallway.

Chapter 5 – Playing with the Truth

Proceed forward and descend a set of stairs, then turn right and follow the path around to an ascending staircase.

Collect the card from the ground at the top of the stairs, then turn left, and at the end of the hallway, take the stairs descending on your right.

In the subsequent room, retrieve the sketchbook page from the table on the right.

Ahead lies another fork. First, proceed right to collect a card resting on a painting, then circle back and go left to acquire the Staff Key at the cul-de-sac.

Return to the level above and advance through the hallway to a door marked `Staff Only`. Use the Staff Key to unlock it.

Within the Staff Room, circle to the left and take the videotape from the stack of boxes, then exit the Staff Room.

Proceed forward until you encounter a white door on the left, just beyond the staircase.

Interact with the white door repeatedly until it eventually opens.

Inside the next room, touch the television to insert the videotape, and you will once again find yourself within its simulated reality.

Move forward and interact with the figure marked with an `O` above its head to make it vanish, then continue until you reach a room containing multiple figures, each with a letter above their head.

In this section, your task is to solve a hangman puzzle.

How to solve the hangman puzzle

To the left of the television are six sheets of paper. You must spell a specific word by interacting with the figures displaying the correct letters. Beneath these six sheets, another paper depicts a hangman game; an incorrect letter choice will advance the drawing. If the hangman is completed, you will be ejected from the TV sequence and forced to restart.
