Lego has officially announced an expansion to its Transformers line next month with the release of Soundwave. This marks the first Decepticon to be rendered as a Lego buildable figure, joining the previously released Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Like these beloved characters, Soundwave can also transform into his iconic boombox mode and comes with additional features. Priced at $190, the set will be available for purchase starting August 1 for members of the free Lego Insiders program, and August 4 for the general public.
If you haven`t acquired them yet, the Lego sets featuring Optimus Prime and Bumblebee have been very popular since their initial launch. Both are enjoyable to assemble and can transform without needing to be taken apart. During the Prime Day sale, you can get a significant discount on each. The 1,508-piece Optimus Prime set, typically priced at $180, is currently available for $144, and the 950-piece Bumblebee kit is offered for $85.49 (down from $90).
Additionally, Walmart is hosting its own sale concurrently with the Amazon Prime Day 2025 event, featuring even more Lego deals. Lego constructions are a major focus of this promotion, and popular sets like the Star Wars UCS X-Wing Starfighter, the retired Lego Ideas: The Office diorama, and the Guardians of the Galaxy Milano Starship are also on sale.
Another noteworthy set on offer is the 2,807-piece Bowser model. It stands as the largest Lego set in the Super Mario Bros. series. Its usual retail price is $270, but it is currently obtainable for $219. The Bowser model is very seldom discounted, so this special offer is worth considering while the set remains in stock.
