Where to Find Spine Cores
To gather Spine Cores, you need to locate enemies called Hokers. These creatures are easily identifiable as floating white orbs with a distinctive green beard and spikes. If you depart from the Seamstress`s home and head right, you`ll soon enter a series of rooms populated with many of these enemies, allowing for convenient collection.
Efficient Spine Core Collection Strategy
The objective isn`t to defeat the Hokers outright, but to harvest their spikes. Each time you strike a Hoker, it will release spikes that embed themselves into nearby surfaces. You then need to strike these embedded spikes, which will cause them to drop an orb containing a Spine Core. Repeat this process until you have 25 cores.
For maximum efficiency, keep in mind that each Hoker can sustain three hits before being vanquished. The most effective method is to hit a Hoker once, then wait for its spikes to regenerate before striking it again. Hitting them before their spikes have regenerated will result in fewer Spine Cores from that specific Hoker.
It`s also important to note that the spikes Hokers fire will vanish after a short duration. Therefore, make sure to collect the Spine Cores promptly to avoid losing them.
Your Reward: The Drifter`s Coat
Once you have successfully gathered all 25 Spine Cores, return to the Seamstress to claim your reward: the Drifter`s Coat. This valuable upgrade bestows upon you the ability to glide after a jump and to utilize the air currents present in the environment. With this new capability, your exploration possibilities will expand significantly, allowing you to reach previously inaccessible areas in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
