High on Life 2 is set to amplify the original`s signature absurdity by integrating a fully playable version of Sega`s classic “Bible Adventures” game.
At Gamescom, Squanch Games` creative director Mikey Spano revealed that the character Senator Muppy Doo (voiced by Richard Kind) can trigger a “factory reset” within your game, leading to a “Bible Adventures” takeover. Players will be able to fully experience the three included games: Noah`s Ark, Baby Moses, and David and Goliath.
Spano explained that securing the rights for this unique in-game integration was possible thanks to “great connections” within the video game industry. He confessed that it was his personal “dream” for “Bible Adventures” to be the chosen game for this feature, though he never expected it to come to fruition, expressing his astonishment that it did.
Commenting on his enthusiasm, Spano humorously stated, “A terrible video game based on the Bible is like the best thing I`ve ever heard in my life. It sucks so bad to play. It`s great.”
Building on the original High on Life`s feature of allowing players to watch the 1990 movie “Demon Wind” from start to finish, the Squanch Games team aimed to “up the ante” significantly with the sequel.
High on Life 2 is scheduled for release in February 2026 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass.
A major new addition in the sequel is the ability for players to traverse levels using a skateboard instead of a standard sprint. This new mechanic not only offers faster movement but also allows for performing tricks, transforming environments into skateparks, and even using the board as a makeshift weapon during combat.
The initial concept for the original High on Life was developed by “Rick and Morty” co-creator Justin Roiland, who later departed the studio amidst domestic violence allegations.
