Here’s How Space PvP Game Wildgate Will Be Supported After Launch

The space PvP game Wildgate is generating significant anticipation, and developer Moonshot Games has revealed its plans for post-launch support. A new roadmap outlines the studio`s commitment to frequent events and seasonal content updates.

Following a recent open beta, Moonshot detailed the changes and additions arriving at or soon after launch next week. On release day, Wildgate will include enhancements to player progression, improved matchmaking, options for in-game cosmetic purchases, and a deluxe edition. Progression improvements mentioned in the roadmap feature a new infamy system, additional goals and milestones, and scrap crates.

Post-launch, Season 1 will be introduced. This first season brings new items such as weapons and cosmetic options, a new prospector character, and other content. The developer also plans bi-weekly `reach anomalies,` described as additions that could be environmental hazards, new hardpoint upgrades, or new points of interest (POIs). According to the roadmap, once added, these anomalies will be integrated into the game`s procedural generation system.

Moonshot, along with publisher Dreamhaven, confirmed plans for at least two subsequent seasons. These future seasons will introduce new game areas, alongside more anomalies, weapons, equipment, and cosmetic items. Beyond seasonal updates, additional post-release support will include mid-season patches designed to incorporate player feedback and make necessary adjustments.

Wildgate is set to release on July 22nd for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, priced at $30. A significant portion of the seasonal content, including new weapons, equipment, characters, and anomalies, will be available free to all players. An optional `adventure pass` will be offered each season for purchasing extra cosmetic items; pricing for this pass has not yet been revealed.
