Helldivers 3: Social Hub on the Horizon?

Helldivers 2 skillfully unites gamers, especially since Xbox Series X|S players can now join their PS5 and PC allies in the fight for Super Earth`s survival. Although many Helldivers 2 fans have called for an in-game social hub, akin to Destiny`s “Tower,” such a feature is not expected in the immediate future. However, it is a planned addition for Helldivers 3.

Arrowhead CEO, Shams Jorjani, recently addressed the community`s desire for a Helldivers 2 social hub during an appearance on Reddit. According to Jorjani, this concept “is on the feature list for the next one.”

Despite this, players shouldn`t anticipate the arrival of this social center anytime soon. As Jorjani previously indicated on Discord, “we are focused on the here and now. Helldivers 3 is, hopefully, many years away.”

Helldivers 2 recently exceeded 500,000 concurrent players, a significant milestone achieved even before the “Into the Unjust” update. This update brought a wealth of new content, including formidable enemies on the Hive Worlds. Hive Lords, in particular, prove exceptionally challenging to eliminate without a substantial supply of nuclear weaponry. While attempting to defeat them without nukes is an option, such encounters typically become comically one-sided in favor of the Hive Lords.

Jorjani has previously mentioned that the majority of Helldivers 2 players enjoy the game “silently” and do not provide extensive actionable feedback to the developers. Nevertheless, the team consistently releases substantial patches and minor updates to resolve in-game bugs, enabling players to continue their critical mission of eradicating giant interstellar space bugs without further interruptions. It`s an unending conflict, so get to it, Helldivers!
