A significant new chapter in the Helldivers 2 story has just launched, bringing with it comprehensive patch notes. As new recruits join the fight for Super Earth, players are invited to delve into unexplored areas. The `Into the Unjust` update tasks Helldivers with infiltrating subterranean Terminid lairs. These hostile environments sever conventional Super Destroyer support, forcing troopers to locate structural openings for assistance. The update also hints at uncovering the mysteries shrouded by the `Gloom` on various Hive Worlds. To aid in this perilous journey, players will gain access to new armor and weaponry.
This update delivers a standard array of gameplay adjustments, bug resolutions, and fresh content. Central to this are the new Hive Worlds, featuring procedurally generated cave networks. Within these caves, players will encounter unsettling `flora and fauna` alongside evolved Terminid variants. The planets themselves present additional dangers like acidic lakes, destructible cave walls, and darkened areas concealing multi-legged adversaries.
A new gameplay mode involves operating a mobile oil rig to extract a peculiar oily substance from these worlds. Developer Arrowhead has also introduced four distinct new Terminid types:
- Rupture Spewers: These creatures emerge from the ground to unleash deadly projectiles.
- Rupture Warriors: Mutated by the Gloom, these warriors conceal themselves in darkness to shield their vulnerable organs from UV light.
- Rupture Chargers: These armored beasts burrow rapidly underground, surfacing only to ambush Helldivers.
- Dragonroaches: Aerial threats that bombard targets with corrosive, air-combustible acid from above.
Regarding adjustments and bug fixes, Arrowhead has addressed a critical issue concerning the iconic MA5C Assault Rifle from the ODST Warbond. Previously, if a party leader equipped this weapon on their Super Destroyer`s bridge, it would cause the game to crash. This significant bug has now been resolved. The complete list of patch notes is provided below.
