Grounded 2 Patch 0.1.3: Major Annoyances Addressed

The latest update for Grounded 2, version 0.1.3, focuses on resolving significant issues and improving the overall player experience rather than introducing new content. This patch brings crucial enhancements for the Buggy, introduces save-repair functionalities, and prevents natural resources from respawning within player-built structures. However, it`s worth noting that some players continue to report frequent game crashes.

Obsidian, the developer, describes these additions as `quick fixes` preceding more substantial future changes. Grounded 2 now features several game-repair options designed to mitigate common frustrations. Players can now utilize a `Creature Reset` option to return all creatures to their initial spawn points, and a `Buggy Reset` option to send all Buggies back to their nest, irrespective of their current location or condition.

The game now ensures that all Snail Shells automatically despawn after 24 hours. A separate fix addresses the persistent problem of resources spawning in the middle of player-built structures. Obsidian clarifies that any resources currently obstructing player bases will need to be cleared manually once after the update, but they will not reappear thereafter.

Several Buggy-related bugs have been resolved, including a duplication exploit that involved the Buggy`s inventory. Obsidian also estimates that this new update delivers a notable 30% improvement in game performance and addresses several known glitches that previously caused game crashes. However, the studio reminds players that Grounded 2 is still in early access, and ongoing performance and stability enhancements are to be expected throughout its development.

The Grounded sequel launched in early access at the end of July, quickly attracting over 3 million players.
