Grounded 2 O.R.C. Transmitter Locations Guide

In Grounded 2`s “Signals and Stashes” mission, players are tasked with hacking two elusive O.R.C. transmitters. This guide provides detailed instructions on how to locate and reach these transmitters, emphasizing the necessary preparations to overcome environmental challenges and combat O.R.C. enemies.

These transmitters are situated at the Picnic Table and Trash Can landmarks. Be prepared for encounters with O.R.C. enemies—identifiable by their glowing purple receiver devices—at both sites. Stock up on your weapon of choice and bandages. Hacking each transmitter also unlocks a new side objective, which this guide will also cover.

How to Reach the Picnic Table O.R.C. Transmitter

The Picnic Table Point of Interest (POI) is located just north of the Snackbar, as indicated in the image above. This area is characterized by a red and white-checkered tablecloth.

Before heading to the Picnic Table, ensure you are equipped to combat the game`s “chill effect.” You will navigate through a cooler, and without proper protection, you will freeze. It`s highly recommended to have armor providing cold resistance or at least a few pieces of spicy candy.

For early cold-resistant gear, consider crafting the Mitey Muffs headpiece and the Fuzzy Mukluks. Their crafting recipes are:

  • Mitey Muffs: 5 Mite Fuzz, 5 Grub Hide
  • Fuzzy Mukluks: 3 Bee Fuzz, 2 Bug Rubber, 3 Lingonberry Leather, 2 Silk Rope

Once you are prepared for the cold, proceed to the Picnic Table location. Ascend the red and white-checkered tablecloth, either by walking or using a buggy. Expect to encounter a few enemies, including mites and spiders, along the way.

The very top of the tablecloth is blocked, requiring an alternate route to reach the table`s surface. You`ll notice a gap that needs to be crossed to continue your ascent.

The safest way to cross this gap is by slipping under the tunnel formed by the cloth, where you may face a few more spiders. This path will lead you to a wooden beam, which you can cross to the other side of the table. Several roach nymphs are present in this new area; they can generally be ignored unless provoked.

Your objective marker will guide you to the entrance of an outdoor cooler. This cooler is extremely cold inside, so ensure your cold-resistant gear is equipped or have spicy candy readily available.

Navigate through the cooler`s passageway, and you will eventually reach the top of the picnic table. Here, you`ll find the O.R.C. transmitter. Be prepared to fight off O.R.C. ladybugs and possibly spiders before you can interact with and hack the device.

Hacking the Picnic Table transmitter updates your objective: “find and defeat the O.R.C. soldiers by the Pines.” While an objective marker should guide you, if it`s missing, head to the Pines section of the map near the Ranger Outpost: Pine Hill. Look for the path on the left side of the outpost entrance.

This area will require you to combat Orb Weaver O.R.C. enemies and hack another transmitter. Spears and daggers are effective weapons here, but always have bandages on hand. While there, consider harvesting Lingonberries, as Lingonberry leather is a crucial resource for various crafting recipes.

How to Reach the Garbage Can O.R.C. Transmitter

To reach the Garbage Can, you`ll need protection against toxic gas. A gas mask is highly recommended, though Gastro Goo smoothies can offer temporary relief. Be aware that crafting either requires killing a stinkbug. Also, gather a few dandelion tufts, as falling is easy when navigating the top of the garbage can.

Crafting recipes for gas protection:

  • Gas Mask: 1 Weevil Nose, 4 Gnat Fuzz, 2 Crude Rope, 1 Stinkbug Part
  • Gastro Goo Smoothie: 1 Stinkbug Gas Sack, 1 Roach Chunk, 1 Aphid Honeydew

Once prepared, head to the Garbage Can POI marked on your map. Navigating this location is often easier with the Red Soldier Ant buggy.

Circle the can until you find a nearby ledge. From there, jump onto a small branch growing from the can`s side. Then, hop onto a banana. While on the banana, turn and jump onto the white plastic spork. Continue following this narrow path around the can, working your way upwards by navigating various limbs and ropes until you reach the summit.

The O.R.C. transmitter is located at the very top of the trash pile. You might be able to sneak past enemies, or you may find yourself battling an O.R.C. cockroach. Regardless, your goal is to survive and interact with the device to hack it.

After hacking the Garbage Can transmitter, your objective will update to “find and defeat the O.R.C. soldiers by the pond.” This is a straightforward task, with the objective marker leading you to a section of the map filled with berry bushes.

These berries are guarded by O.R.C. bees, so be prepared for a fight. A bow and arrow can be effective for ranged combat, and ensure you have bandages ready. While the primary goal is to eliminate the O.R.C. bees, it`s also advisable to harvest the blueberries, as blueberry leather is a vital component in several crucial crafting recipes.
