Классический шутер Forsaken 64 пополнит библиотеку приложения Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics: Mature, доступного через Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, начиная с 4 сентября. Эта игра станет пятым дополнением к “взрослой” версии приложения, присоединившись к таким культовым проектам, как Perfect Dark и Turok: Dinosaur Hunter.
Изначально выпущенная в 1998 году для Nintendo 64, PlayStation и PC, Forsaken 64 представляет собой динамичный шутер. Действие игры разворачивается в далеком 2113 году, после того как научный эксперимент уничтожил все живое на Земле. Версия для Nintendo 64 уникальна: в ней игрок выступает в роли защитника, преследующего воров, в отличие от версий для PlayStation и PC, где цель заключалась в поиске сокровищ.
Одной из ключевых особенностей Forsaken 64 является инновационная для своего времени система движения. Игра предлагает “шесть степеней свободы“, позволяя перемещаться вперед, назад, в стороны, вверх, вниз, а также комбинировать эти направления. Кроме того, доступен многопользовательский режим для четырех игроков, как и в оригинальной версии.
Релиз Forsaken 64 состоится 4 сентября на платформах Nintendo Switch и Switch 2 через приложение Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics: Mature.

The classic shooter Forsaken 64 will join the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics: Mature app library, available via Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, starting September 4th. This game marks the fifth addition to the `Mature` version of the app, alongside iconic titles such as Perfect Dark and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter.
Originally released in 1998 for Nintendo 64, PlayStation, and PC, Forsaken 64 is a fast-paced shooter. The game is set in the distant year 2113, after a scientific experiment wiped out all life on Earth. The Nintendo 64 version is unique: here, the player acts as a protector, pursuing thieves, unlike the PlayStation and PC versions where the goal was to seek treasure.
One of Forsaken 64`s key features is its movement system, innovative for its era. The game offers “six degrees of freedom,” allowing movement forward, backward, side-to-side, up, down, and combinations of these directions. Additionally, a multiplayer mode for up to four players is available, just like in the original version.
Forsaken 64 will be released on September 4th for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 platforms through the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics: Mature app.
